A New Unique Class of Professionals
Association of Certified Commercial Diplomats is the first independent global professional body for commercial diplomats. As the global voice, the Association's overall responsibility includes the setting of policy and guidelines, as well as the qualification and accreditation procedures for the unique profession of commercial diplomacy.
The professional body was founded as a result of the urgent need for an independent global professional awarding institution that will provide appropriate impartial regulations, advanced education and capacity building, examination standards and accreditation for practitioners of commercial diplomacy. Also, for the research, development, policy advocacy and advancement of commercial diplomacy at the highest level. The Association is independent of government, non partisan, not-for-profit and does not owe allegiance to any political party. |

The Association's principal objectives as a professional body of the highest standing are:
-
to provide appropriate impartial professional regulations, advanced education and capacity building, examination standards and accreditation for qualified commercial diplomats and registered learning providers of postgraduate courses on commercial diplomacy (i.e institutions of higher learning); and
-
to advance the interests of practitioners of commercial diplomacy and qualified members (i.e ambassadors, foreign trade negotiators and advisors, policy-makers, commercial counselors and directors, negotiators of foreign investment agreements, government officials involved in trade, commercial and or investment issues, commercial judges and arbitrators, investment policy experts, academia, NGO/IGO representatives and senior officials in government ministries, corporations, and public and private institutions worldwide) as qualified, certified and competent commercial diplomats.

.... to date, commercial diplomacy has suffered a present but-invisible status within diplomatic studies. This blindness produces a partial disclosure of what constitutes diplomatic practice. .
