Qualifications for Membership
Graduate Membership
Graduate members are individuals who are interested in the professional practice of commercial diplomacy and the work of the Association and wish to cooperate. They apply for admission or are proposed by a member. This category is open to individuals aged between 21 and 30 years, for a maximum of three years, or until applicant has completed the Advanced Certificate of Competency programme, after which application for Associateship is expected. Every candidate for election or transfer to the class of Graduate Member shall satisfy the Council that he or she:
- Is at least 21 years of age; and
- Has registered for the Advanced Certificate of Competency course, or
- Possess the qualification for Graduate Membership; and
- Has received or is receiving adequate practical training in related field; and or
- Is continuing with academic study or training in international trading system, trade negotiations, development and or commercial diplomacy related field; and or
- has acquired or intends to acquire adequate experience as will enable him or her to be eligible for transfer to the class of Associateship or Mastership within a period of time after election to the class of Graduate Member in accordance with the requirements of Council Rules; and
- Is willing and able to promote and actively support the mission of the Association
