QCD - PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION FOR COMMERCIAL DIPLOMATS

Qualified Certified Diplomat

PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION FOR COMMERCIAL DIPLOMATS

The commercial diplomat requires all the finesse and knowledge of foreign cultures required by a traditional diplomat. In addition, the commercial diplomat must acquire a wide range of analytical, advocacy, public relations, anti-corruption and negotiating skills. To qualify for QCD accreditation, the applicant must complete the doctoral level mandatory qualifying course. While attaining QCD is a challenge, it allows practitioners to remain current with what is new in commercial diplomatic field, and to incorporate the latest research techniques into their practises.

Mandatory Qualifying Course

QCD Mandatory Qualifying Course is the most rigorous continuing professional training programme for Commercial Diplomacy Practitioners. A commercial diplomat who has qualified and earned the designation "Qualified Certified Diplomat" (QCD) has completed a structured and demanding set of requirements involving aII the required disciplines and projects. The aim of the Qualifying provisions is to provide for the regulation of Certified Commercial Diplomats and to bring them in line with the rest of the global professional bodies. Only those who can fulfil the criteria of knowledge, competence, dedication, good standing and advanced professional development shall be accredited and be referred to as 'Qualified Certified Diplomat'. This in sense provides the 'bench mark' for competent commercial diplomats.

QCD - Symbol of Proficiency

QCD is a symbol of proficiency, competency and professional achievement widely respected by international governmental institutions, non-governmental organisations, non-profit agencies, corporate and government employers. It is awarded by the global professional body to practitioners who have successfully completed the QCD Mandatory Qualifying Course, the main category of professional qualification denoting a level of educational and professional achievement required followed by the development, through specialised training and professional experience, of key skills at the higher doctoral level.

Association of Certified Commercial Diplomats works closely with diplomatic and academic institutions to ensure that candidates have the appropriate skills and knowledge to qualify for accreditation. QCDs are uniquely qualified, competent, and are skilled practitioners with complete knowledge and proven ability at doctoral and postdoctoral levels. They are able and fully accredited to practise and or train other practitioners at doctoral level.
